What did I buy in New York? – and, most importantly, what did I end up re-buying when I was there three-four months later? I’ll tell you!
Indisputably my favourite product by far! I love, love, love boy brow – it’s the way I wrap up a beautifully applied makeup. It’s a quite ‘dense’ brow product with colour, which adds volume, structure and firmness without flaking.
As my brows are relatively dark, especially when freshly dyed, I use the colour brown. At first, I brush against the direction of hair growth and let it rest for a bit. I then brush in the direction of hair growth and a bit upwards to create width and volume. That’s clearly the trick to make them last for most of the day, and it makes them just so beautiful.
To me, it’s quite a multi product. Essentially a lip balm and a hyped one at that. But I also use it for my cheeks if I need to freshen up a bit during the day and don’t have makeup in my bag – I rarely do, simply because I tend to forget. A little dash of this and my cheeks look fresh and lightly coloured.
It comes in several shades, but my favourite is ‘cherry.’ It’s dark red but on the lips it simply enhances the naturally dark colour of the lips – and then it works really well on cheeks as well.
A highlighter ‘on a stick.’ Super easy to use and very discreet in its glow, I find. It’s easiest to work with it using your fingers – and make sure to tone it out properly. It adds a moist, glittery glow to your cheeks.
I use it on my cheekbones, on my nose bridge and on my cupid’s bow. Occasionally, I’ll add a bit on my finger and apply it to my eyelids or right under my brows. A ‘quartz’ kind of girl, my tone is slightly warm.
LASH SLICK (gifted)
This is a really, really nice mascara. Gotta say that. The only one that, for weeks, made me deviate from my good old Clinique (warm water mascara, LASH POWER). I must admit, however, that I’m back on the Clinique. That’s the best one for me, without comparison; lasts an entire day.
If you’re not into waterproof / warm water mascaras, though, Lash Slick is really a serious contender to becoming a favourite. It easily separates the lashes and adds length and volume. I’m into brushes with comb-like ‘hairs’ which aren’t too dense – that’s easier for me to work with, and that’s exactly how this thing is.
